WHAT IS AN ATHLETIC TRAINER? Most people think they know what an athletic trainer is, but is more than the obvious taping of ankles and having VIP seating every game on the sidelines. Athletic Trainers, or AT's, are board certified allied health professionals that collaborate directly with and under the direction of physicians. We provide first aid and emergency care during games and treatment and rehabilitation in the athletic training room for acute and chronic injuries. WHO IS OUR ATHLETIC TRAINER? Nicole Siglin, aka Sigs, is the athletic trainer at Holliston High School. She has been the full time athletic trainer since Fall 2012. From Fall 2010 to 2012, she worked at Holliston as a contracted part time athletic trainer through MetroWest Medical Center. Her experience spans 18 years at both the scholastic and collegiate level. A Syracuse, NY native, Nicole worked in a high school outreach program at UpState Medical Center. She was an athletic trainer for a junior hockey team, the Syracuse Stars, formerly known as the Junior Crunch. Upon moving to MA, she was employed by Bentley University as an assistant athletic trainer. Sigs can be seen on the sidelines at varsity games throughout the year.
